I just read all... WOW...

The approach is as crazy as genius, love it!
The game design is minimalist and so clever!
The global design is so nice, with old school vibes, so inspiring!
The random tables are pure madness!
I am going to play this on my next one-shots, even on a mini-campain.

Thank you so much for this masterpiece!!!
May I ask your inspirations (books, ttrpgs, ...)?

If there were a crowdfounding for a printed vertion, I will be in for sure!
I will check and buy other stuff from you without any doubt...
You got talent, please keep it up!

Thank you so much! This game is my pride and joy so iIreally appreciate you taking the time to read it.

I made this game as proof of concept for my DNGN ENGN DICE SYSTEM. Its got roots in a quite a few things -- Scaling dice can be found in a lot of things, but i guess my main inspiration would be DANCING WITH BULLETS UNDER A NEON SUN. The kinda of frenzied dice rolling action has some roots in EAT THE REICH. Its also clearly meant to be a slight jab a D&D, lol.

I wanted to a build a game that was more focus on collaboratively building a narrative without having to dial back the amount of dice rolling.  I also wanted to eliminate arbitrary target numbers. In general, I try to write games with enough satisfying mechanical crunch but without anything not needed to understand the game.

At the moment i have a handful of kickstarters that i am working on fulfilling, so it will be a moment before i launch anything new.  Although, I considered doing some itch funders and getting some POD services set up for these. So i guess just stay tuned in terms of getting a physical copy!
I'm  going to keep making support for D+D, in particular id love to build an overland travel system and a tavern system -- that would frame going to the tavern as its own dungeon where the threats are social and political as opposed to physical.

I would love to hear about your experiences with the game! Please keep me updated! (and make sure you download my free 1 hour 1 shot for it)

Once again, thank you. This made my day!

You nailed this game, really!

And I feel you for your inspiration sources and intentions.

I got a 4 year boy, and I intend to make him and a friend of him play his first TTPRG soon.
I was not able to find something I feel, but now I did, thanks to YOU!
I will simplify a bit, but this is so cool!
And I will teach him that "this is D&D"! lol

I just bought this game with a bit more bucks (I downloaded it free before to discover it), for your work on it and on your other pieces.

You made my weekend and my next OS sessions, so thanks so much, bro.

Can't wait to see your future products.

I saw that! Very generous, thank you!

Very cool! have a great weekend!

Your great work deserve it, that is not generosity. :)
Thanks, have an excellent weekend too.

Just read through this and it's really neat. One thing was unclear to me, though. What happens if the player and the GM rolls the same number?

reroll!

also, thank you!

I like this game a lot. I have a QSTN. I feel like calling a shot is always the right thing to do against a FACEOFF. You always roll better against it and do more damage when successful, right? What would you think of some sort of "clock" mechanism or anything else that might incentivize a player to act more rashly? Not that they should, but just to give some more tension.

(+1)

Oh I think there is never a bad time for a clock! I think that could easily be added via the environments themselves (such a being trapped in a chamber with water filling up the room). Poisons could be a good one too! Great thought!

Calling a shot is always the better choice in terms of damage, but if you fail the roll you end up having to diminish your Dice twice, which you may not have the resources for (since typically a face off happens towards the end of a delve, or at least after a few other encounters).

And just so you know Im gonna continue to release support for this game, like a Delve generator and a campaign support system (with overland travel mechanics).

Nice. I hadn't seen the bit about increased consequences. I'm looking this over and getting all sorts of ideas. Same as with Instant Starship.

Fantastic! I can't wait to hear what you cook up!

Hi hi! I've made a DNGN+DRGN Autosheet! I wanted to ask if I'd be alright to publish it? Thank you! And love the game!

Cool dragons!

Could you possibly release a plain text version? I play with a few players who are blind and use a screen reader.

(+3)

I added a plain text pdf, I've never made a document for screen readers, please let me know if their are any adjustments i can make or if other formats for would be better! Thank you so much for playing and I hope yall have a blast!

(+5)

Upon further investigation, i formatted it into a .TXT file. Let me know if i can do anything else to help make this more accessible! Thank you again!

Awesome! Thank you so much!

It’s look amazing! So simple, but deep. What kind of license the game use? Can I make some hack on my native league (Ukrainian)?

(+4)

Thank you so much! I have updated the page and put the text of the game under a Creative Commons BY-SA 4.O. Feel free to use the text and ideas of this game anyway you'd like (as long as you follow the guidelines listed)
